A Closer Look

A Closer Look at the DX1

Like I said before; I'm a jaded Gen-Xer. Very rarely do things get me this excited. This product, however, will save me an extensible amount of time/work remembering keystrokes and the like within my 3D apps. This thing could simplify an entire scheme of commands for training in the workplace and yet you can still play games with it. Here we see a closer look at the device: the base with cord, the transparent "lid" that allows you to slide paper beneath it for labelling what buttons do and the 25 removeable keys. My only gripe will be that I'll have another Systray resident when I install the DX1's scripting program to save my button schemes (you can see a few of the decorative sheets the team used to display buttons to the left of the device). That's more of an observation about Windows than of this device though. With it running in the background, UT2004 didn't even hick-up once on the P4 2.6 GHz computer they had displaying the product. Not only did these guys have an amazing product but they were pretty cool people too. Great innovation and people-skills are rarely a match in the world of engineers.
